North Saanich Rod & Gun Club will be hosting an .22 LR handgun metallic silhouette match on Tuesday August 17th 2010 from 9 am until noon.

The match has been modified to suit the contraints of the NSRG range, our existing metallic silhouettes, old eyes and old shooters.

RULES:

• standing position (unless the shooter is handicapped or confined to a wheel chair)

• .22 LR ammunition only

• pistols and revolvers (no Olympic, Free style, or other special purpose firearms, this includes barrels over 8 inches in length and compensators)

• open, red dot or peep sites only

• one or two handed shooting

• no shooting gloves, vests, jackets or supporting accoutrements

• 1/5th scale metallic silhouettes (as used by the NSRG monthly .22 rifle silhouette shooters)

• chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams

• all silhouettes will be painted white

There will be 2 1/2 minutes of time alloted per stage. During each stage participants will shoot at five silhouettes consisting of one of the four different shapes (chickens, pigs, turkeys or rams).  Silhouettes are to be shot from left to right and will be scored by the total number of knock-downs (max. 20).  All silhouettes will be shot off the 25 yard berm in bay 3.

SAFETY:

• Eye and hearing protection is manditory
• NSRG range safety will be a priority at this match.

COST:

• $3.00 per shooter (please note this match is open to all shooters, not just NSRG members)

Refreshments will be served.

Please note that this is not a sanctioned, official, classified or squadded match.
